So, I took your advice and went to the show last night. Also brought along my cousin. It was a good time. Felt a little long, but I dug all the bands, so it was all right.

Since I've just recently gotten into the band, I can't really tell ya the setlist or anything. But here are some other highlights from the set:

- I liked that Murder By Death had all these old film clips playing in the background. They had Un Chien Andalou on there! That was fucking awesome.
- At times, the singer's voice reminded me of Mike Ness's voice. Since I happen to like Mike's voice, that's not a bad thing. Not sure how you'd feel about that.
- Dead baby joke: A 2-parter
- And, of course, the "demon from hell" puppet thing that someone brought out onto the floor at one point. Guess it was in MBD's fitting room when they got there.

Also, I saw Boner from "Growing Pains" there.

That's about it. I took a few video clips - including one of MBD - so, if you're interested, I can send it to ya somehow. Otherwise, I know you're taping 'em on the 6th or something. Plus, the quality on mine isn't super great.

Thanks again for the word on this band. Oh, and thanks for the most recent track you sent me. I dug it.

Listening to the 2003-05-16 dredg show CAvis have uploaded to archive.org.. And hearing the crowds reaction when they break into symbol song made me smile like a mofo

My friends are pure evil..

So.. I've been spending the past couple of days, playing music with my band at day hours, and drinking my boots off at night.. So today, after getting home from practise, I decide.. No, not tonight, I need to rest for a bit..... Then my friends call me and offer me a ride, coming over here and picking me up just so I can get to the party.. How could someone turn down an offer like that?

Hey, man.

Hmmm. I'd have to say they played a solid hour, maybe almost an hour-and-a-half. Not sure if they came back for an encore (though I have a feeling they did...) 'cause I left after their supposed last song. Anyway, I sort of lost track of time, but if it helps any, the first picture I took of MBD was at 10:12 PM (during set-up), and the last one was at 11:07 PM. That was a little bit before their set was over though.

If a set-list pops up anywhere, I'll share it. Otherwise, I'm sure it'll be similar on Sunday.

On another note, dredg should play at Logan Square Auditorium. This is the first time I caught a show there, but it was a pretty neat place. It was one of those venues where you could be standing at the back but still have a decent view of the stage. Plus, this was an all-ages show, and it lasted close to midnight (whereas the Bottom Lounge all-ages show's curfew was 10).
