Re: Kansas City, MO - Riot Room

Savior from tonight in MP3, unmixed, so the final will sound a bit more balanced: http://www.sendspace.com/file/jh4mg6

Well they skipped a few songs on the setlist above due to time and technical issues at the start that cut into their set. Skipped Bug Eyes and pretty sure they skipped Waterborne.

My audience recording came out pretty well. No soundboard said Drew, due to crappy small venue and it would probably sound like shit. Would have sounded fine when mixed with the house audio, so ehhhhhh.

Kukyfrope added 2 Minutes and 33 Seconds later...

Horrible lights in the venue... lots of solid blue/red which cameras don't deal with well. No white lights so the video is kind of dark. Had to shoot iris wide open so it was very hard to keep focused. And Molitoth's drunk friend kept bumping into me.

Shot 2 cameras and did audience audio. Should probably be able to have a DVD in 2 weeks.

Did audio of Pelican, too. Both of these shows will end up on Archive.org for your listening pleasure.

They played Waterborne. Skipped Bug Eyes. Savior was SOOOOO badass.

Molitoth added 1 Minutes and 43 Seconds later...

Sorry about my friend Jon, it was his first dredg show so he was giddy and drunk. =P

Molitoth added 2 Minutes and 43 Seconds later...

Cellar was badass, but didn't have vocals yet. (Gavin plays guitar)
I would guess that they are working on it still. Like waterborne its probably still in its beginning stages, but they still play it.

Molitoth added 0 Minutes and 52 Seconds later...

Tombs did not belong opening for dredg.

        Tombs was AWFUL.

They skipped both Bug Eyes and Drunk Slide [i'm pretty sure], so no news there.

Ars Sycro added 1 Minutes and 17 Seconds later...

This was probably the smallest stage dredg has played in a decade. Gavin was literally right up against Dino's drumset.

I remember Gavin announcing.... "this is a new song, called Waterborne"... it also showed up that way on the setlist.

They also announced the new album will drop June 9. (I think....)
I haven't browsed these forums in a long time so I'm sorry if this was already known.

OK, you're right, they did play it. Ars was right, they skipped Drunken Slide. There was about 10 minutes during their set where I didn't really feel there... just kind of zoned in filming. They must have played it then.

I didn't film those, just discovered them. Just for the record.

                      Cheers

i got home around 4 and finally woke up. Energy wise, it was one of the best dredg shows I've ever seen. My stomache and head are not to thrilled about the PBR tall boy specials they had. It was good seeing everyone and doing shots with Mark and Drew. I'm still like half asleep. I'd say i'll post more later, but everyone else covered it really.

Did anyone notice Drew playing the keys with his tongue during a portion of a song? Yes, his tongue. I hope you got that on film Kuky. It cracked me up.
