Upon Returning had a very danceable quality in the live version but the studio version has alot of awkward pauses and the intro and bridge were ruined.

are you sure you don't have that review backwards?

i have some good quality recordings of upon returning live, and the song is filled with incredibly awkward pauses throughout.

the studio version is far superior in my opinion.

Big release being the key word. I expect to like it alot more than most people, but it feels like a small experiment next to the massive albums they usually put out. If anything the best way to interpret my impression so far is it would have been better off as a shorter ep. Still dredg completely, I esp disagree w those saying i ts like dino is gone. Still hear his presence alot.

I'm not saying that they aren't responsible, as well. They are ultimately responsible, but I can say with certainty that I do not like Dan's work here.

I'm fine with that. But people saying that Dan fucked dredg or anything like that is ridiculous. I guarantee you this record sounds the way that dredg wants it to sound.

I like the snippets I've heard, but I can understand where the others are coming from.

I clearly remember the day I put LOAD (metallica) into the player. I kept cycling through hoping to hear METALLICA. I didn't get it at the time but every band with longevity needs to move on and try something different.

Today I play those songs off LOAD and enjoy the hell out of them . . .

The t-shirt/CD combo pre-orders have been cancelled. Apparently they are doing it with a different shirt. Probably a higher price, too. They did at least give me a discount code if I want to get the new shirt.

We'll see, I guess.
