I might be out of line speaking for the majority here, but as I remember it I think the general consensus on this board was that Catch Without Arms was just missing some things. Pariah kind of filled in those missing gaps, maybe overfilled those gaps in some regards, but it felt like a more complete dredg album.
To be more clear, when I say gaps I mean things like production quality, lack of instrumentals, and "experimentation."
Looking back, I definitely have a better appreciation for CWA now than I did when it came out, and I think it compares just fine to Pariah, there is just more material on PPD I like.
I will say that Jamais Vu is maybe my favorite dredg song. Although, when I first heard the album version I was definitely disappointed.
Agreed... theres some of my favorites on Catch Without Arms (jamais vu, Hungover on a tuesday, Planting Seeds) but this album also contains some of my least favorite songs (Not that simple, Sang real, Spitshine.)
As far as Chuckles, i haven't decided yet if i like it more or less than catch... but let me tell you this. During CWOA i was more prompted to find what i needed musicwise elsewhere in a larger capacity than say any of their other albums so far.
Google "Nutsack" and see what kind of pictures come up
