Close to it... what's even more remarkable for me is how little Amnesiac has ever interested me, despite coming from the same sessions. Where the former creates about the most unique and powerful atmosphere of any album I've heard, the latter strikes me as a random splattering of leftovers with no cohesion whatsoever. I'm kind of surprised to see a few people ranking Amnesiac higher out of the two.

WHAT?!

The cymbals sound okay, but the snare especially sounds like crap. Way too poppy for my taste. The kick also has no balls, either. It was probably as much an engineering issue as it was a gear thing, but it sounds hollow as all shit.
