Goatheads are a bitch, I bought some kevlar tires for my bike and I never had that problem again. I did get some goatheads but they didn't make it through to the tube. Mr Tuffy liners are supposed to be good for that too.

Maybe five or six dollars more. Honestly I don't know how much kevlar is in 'em but I like being able to think that it's helping.

i just got some of them extra thick slime tubes. however, i am having a problem with the presta valves and my pump. argh!

Those tubes are awesome. As far as I'm concerned they're just a temporary fix for a leak but they hold well.

i've had Forte Presta Tubes for a year now and the only problem i ran into was running over a broken jagermeister bottle (long story).

I took the bike from San Rafael to San Fran last week (18+ miles). After that I was welcoming death.

That sounds like a fun ride though. I love taking those longs trips on a bike. To bad one of mine is broken and my other one isn't working yet. Oh, it's also been too fucking hot here. A couple days ago it was sweet, but lately taking a ride like that is asking for heat stroke.

Dude the hills here are brutal. But when I was going through Tiburon; holy shit. That town has got some money! I'm just some doofy bastard from the east with a Red Sox cap lookin' at people like, "Hello....I like your car."

I've explored China Camp over here in San Rafael and on Sunday I'm going tackle some Point Reyes trails. There's a few I'm eyeing.
Any recommendations?

Haven't spent much time up there... I'm South Bay, so I'm almost always down here. Found this site to be particularly useful, though. A lot of the trails allow bikes and they break it down all easy-like for ya.
