Casey is one of my favorite songwriters of alltime. The new song is good..a little different, but definitely sounds like it would go with some of the ACT II stuff. They're playing a couple of the new tracks live..some videos have surfaced.

they have the "Ms.Leading Demos" which is a lot of ACT II stuff demoed when he was still with TREOS. Those weren't officially released..production is demo-quality..but there's some good stuff in there..some unreleased tracks like CAMERA for example. I could up it if you're interested.

np..I actually put those on yesterday for the 1st time in many months..some of the arrangements are quite good. He uses a lot of electronics..moreso than he did on Act II, and I wonder the reason behind that could be the fact Casey, before he joined TREOS, was doing an electronic project. I remember the 1st time I heard TDH on the purevolume page it listed the style as "classical and electronic" which kinda threw me off, but now I follow more why.

Who knows, but I can only imagine a lot of those getting remastered or re-recorded even and coming out great.

So I've never listened to this band before and was getting really annoyed about seeing this tread bumped every day. So I downloaded Act II and yeah... It's fucking amazing...

Just wanted to let everybody know that I'm pretty retarded for not checking this out A LOT sooner. And since I'm dumb let me ask a dumb question (mainly because I don't want to read 6 pages worth of stuff) Is there an Act I? What's their story\history\whatever...

it has more over-the-top multi-part vocal harmonies..suppose more classical elements, and the songs are a bit more refined (not suites or mult-part). But at the same time, for an EP, it feels pretty long (or not short).

I dunno, I see as many people who prefer it to ACT II. I guess ACT I is less epic, but more consistent, and ACT II is more conceptual and more different kinds of songs than ACT I. I know Casey made a point to not try and have ACT II sound like ACT I much, because he felt he wanted as best he could to avoid repeating himself.
