Yeah, I'm stuck in endless buffering. I'm guessing the filters are hard at work.
I don't have the time it takes to recover from the day
I sit and moan and mope and groan and never have my say
A crown of thorns from which is born a little baby bird
To fly away and have its day is nothing but absurd

QFT. They really took it in an unfortunate direction (for me).
I was kind of hoping it was just a bad spot to sample, but since you've heard the whole thing....

Not gonna listen to the amazon clips but I like this version of Upon Returning better than the live version. Can't wait to hear Down Without A Fight in its entirety.
I loved the live version of Upon Returning and after a couple of listens I hate what Dan did to it. The live version flows way better. Is it just more or does the sound quality sound awful? It seems to me that there was some potential here that got rushed a bit too much... So far my opinion is that Dan completely raped dredg!

Wow, this really is terrible. It just sounds busy and overly gainy. The production on this song is utterly garbage. I hope this is the last time they work with him. I'm starting to feel like this album is going to be dredg's Hold Your Fire.

No, you're right. I actually had decent hopes for this one (unlike most of the rest of the album, judging by recent reviews and descriptions), and the studio version just doesn't take it in the direction I'd expected/hoped based on the live performances. Blah.

Me too. It's stuck in my head for three days now. Hope the album will ship to Croatia, as I can see it does not to all of the European Union countries, which is odd.
I'm a simple man. I like pretty dark-haired women and breakfast food.
I still can't get past the crap I can only describe as guitar tone in the verses on Upon Returning. Eww. It sounds like it was recorded through a DI and they tried to fake tone through effects. Just sounds like total shit. The bridge is the only part of the song that sounds worth a damn.

Wow. The live version of Upon Returning is way better. The bridge in the live version was really powerful and here it is just really subdued - I like how Mark's guitar wailed during that part. And it seems like this quality is really bad. I hope it sounds better on the album.
