Re: New Music
Yes! They were so underrated. The Hemoclysm, which they never released is one of my favorite things ever written.
They're all super prolific have a bunch of great spin-off bands and solo projects too. Guitarist Hunter Ellis and drummer Gabe Katz both put out amazing solo records last year with appearances by most of the other CL members. Here are the bands I can remember they're involved in.
• My Dads: Same members with one new guitarist. More subtle/experimental.
• Horders*: Same drummer and bassist, guitarist from My Dads, occasional other guitarists. Little more of a stripped-down rock sound.
• Cash Pony*: Funk/math/classic prog band with CL drummer.
• Hautahuah*: Bassist and drummer's super technical mathy groove rock project with ex-Hella guitarist.
• Mean Girls*: Jokey project with same lineup as Horders
• Sloth and Turtle: Bassist's heavy post-rockish trio
• Sex Goddess: Kinda Secret Chiefs-ish studio project
• Shat: Hardcore band with revolving members
*active band
