I've actually been listening to more hip hop than anything else these days. That and Dear Hunter. I won't list anything, though, since I think I'm still 'learning' about hip hop. I'm not hip. Or hop.

most of my new music revolves around what my almost 3 year old wants to listen to.

it's mostly awful.

I am able to get her to listen to Black Maps though. don't know why she likes them, but i'll take it.

I've never seen anyone here mention Deastro. I really don't know how to describe his music. A lot of it is electronic, but there are lots of rock elements in it's bubbly poppiness.

I like the music, but I'm not a fan of the way it's mixed. It just sounds messy and unfocused. Could be what he's going for, but just not my thing.

Um. I don't know anything about new music. I am not into music like I was. But I really dig A Forest of Stars, and Ghost. And Tangerine Dream, and... Knife Party I listen to a lot.

Not a new band, but the new Battles album, Louisiana Di Da Di (Dave Konopka made this joke about a dozen times in New Orleans), gets better every single listen.

The Heart is a Monster by Failure is a really good album.
