Actually, after that happened, we had a fight that ended with her saying she was going to sleep with other people whether we were together or not. I really don't know why I stayed... I guess she just manipulated me real good. Finally built up the nerve to break it off one morning, went to her place and found her crying on her front step. Apparently, her girlfriend on the side had dumped her... and suddenly, I found myself consoling my girlfriend over being dumped by someone else... man, what the fuck? That still gets me every time I think about it.

Anyway, the reason that progressed to me disliking bisexuals is that she blamed her sexual addictions on the fact that she was bisexual. I know that's not right, but usually upon learning that someone is a bisexual, I am no longer interested in knowing them. I can make an exception for you, Trathena. You don't seem like a manipulative bitch.

Well, I don't know you that well, but I'm assuming you were younger? This was maybe one of your first serious relationships?

I think that most of us cringe when we think of the things we said, did, and put up with when we were young and just learning about love and sex. Some of us put up with assholes and bitches. Some of us were the assholes and the bitches.

I hope you don't get pissed off at me saying that she's a fucking dishonest idiot. I hope she's grown up since then, and will just admit that she isn't cut out for monogamy. Blaming her cheating on her sexual orientation is bullshit and way more offensive to me personally than anything you've said on this subject.

Moreover, you're not alone in not wanting to get involved with bisexuals. Lesbians seem to have a keen distrust of us. Dan Savage is very vocal in saying that he will never be involved with one again. Usually this distrust stems from being burned in the past.

Is it rational? No. Is it fair? Who cares? We all have our preferences.

i just want to put in my .02 here: i am in favor of sexuality. i love it. i think it is awesome. i think people should enjoy it often.

i do not need you, science, to prove that it is a thing to be celebrated and a natural part of life.

Ha, no, I don't mind that at all. She has a kid now, so I hope for her child's sake she's a bit more mature. She lived with the father in Iowa for a while and then broke it off with him, so perhaps not. And I agree, it is bullshit... but anytime I run into a bisexual, I instantly think of her and want to get away. But that's why I shied away from actually arguing the subject. I don't have a fair and just reason for why I don't like bisexuals. It's just a personal thing. I'm pretty sure if this arose a year ago, I would have gone off said some shit that made me look foolish and inconsiderate. I must be learning.
