I doubt he's going to win, but there's a definite possibility

I for one wouldn't mind if he won as long as he in fact is the anti christ

          Re: Let's Simplifly: Good News

You know, I can't believe I'm part of the "undecideds." I've never been undecided about a presidential election. But this election, I've lost count of how many times I've thought I would vote Obama, then Green, then Obama, then Green, back to Obama. At one point I thought I'd not vote at all. At another, I seriously considered a write-in vote. This is truly unsettling and worrisome. I don't know how I'm going to vote in November.

And the thing is (and maybe this is a positive thing), there are good reasons to vote for Obama and there are good reasons to vote for McKinney. So, in that sense, I'm kind of in a good place.

But still . . . I wish I'd make up my mind. (I'm sure y'all do too, so I'd shut up about it.)

The truth can be summed up as this... it's a balancing act between voting your conscience and voting to prevent a worst case scenario.

Either way, I think you can make an argument that you're doing the right thing. Also, though, I have no way of knowing obviously what's going to happen but I've got a feeling that Obama will have enough of a landslide to where people can vote Green or Lib and not make much of a difference in the final tally between McCain and Obama.

I don't know why all the liberals seem to think this is going to be a landslide. This one is going to be close.

i agree with ars. i think there may have been a time when it would have been a landslide, but the dems seem to have messed that up by letting the debate with hillary go on way too long and failing to make good on their anti-war congress.

                    Pollster news, charts, and opinion.

The current electoral count based on polls is one thing, but look at North Dakota in particular. This is a state that Bush won by over 20 percent in 2000 and 2004, and it's tied.

The fact that former shoe-ins for the GOP are toss ups doesn't bode well. McCain has a lot of catching up to do. And I don't know how closely you all are following the Palin situation, but there are a few facts that stand out:

                    1) She has refused any press availability until further notice. At some point the media is going to realize that the last time we were told to just trust the speeches, we ended up in Iraq. And once she DOES do actual interviews like the rest of the candidates, her lack of foreign policy experience will show.

                    2) The "Troopergate" scandal is in full force now, and the investigators announced today that they are going to move up the final release from October 31st.

                    3) Anyone who has seen voter registration numbers across the US from the last six months will attest to the ridiculous amount of Democratic registration and the noticable lack of excitement or involvement on the Republican side. Which makes sense, considering they think community organizing means nothing.

Again, I know that this is just a guess and of course it could go either way, but I think that Obama's biggest challenge was Clinton.

Not to mention Obama letting the telecoms off the hook. That's hurt him more than even he may realize.

The shit that's being said about him and Biden on Democracy Now is bad, bad stuff. The leftists are not happy about him at all.

Actually, I have seen this firsthand in my area. The Democrats are picking up voter registration like crazy. It's pretty awesome.

The Greens are too, by the way.

I love how people say you can ignore the policies of Biden since he's only the VP candidate, but when it comes to Palin, suddenly the VP does matter.

People who say that are absolutely stupid.

But at least Biden HAS policies. Palin found out about the surge by watching the news.
