Well, this may get me in trouble, but for me, dredg is more about the lyrics and the music. Gavin's voice in this studio recordings sound great, but often his live shows . . . I just don't know.

For me, I enjoy dredg's lyrics and the music mostly. And this thread is titled "singers" so I left them off.

I agree with Thratena, I don't think Gavin is all that great of a singer. Notice how he always strains a lot when he's singing live. It affects his voice negatively. I wish he would take singing lessons (again) (I wish most singers would!). Most bands have singers with pretty good voices, but most of them don't know how to use it

Yeah, he sings a lot better when its acoustic. Which is my point really, he uses way too much power in the normal live setting, trying to overpower the band
That's his mics job, not his vocal cords
