  • You & Me

For those that didn't d/l it in time.  Here is Open Hand's "You & Me" release from 2005.

Currently, Justin is trying to recruit Matt Talbot of Hum fame to do rhythm guitars and possibly back up vocals.  Paul Malinowski is on board doing bass and production as usual (ex-shiner).  Jason Gerken is being re-recruited for the new album as well (ex-shiner) for drums.  Matt may do a tour behind this album, but knowing how Hum broke up, this may not happen.

You and me= Queens of the Stone Age light, and there is nothing wrong with that. It's a solid disc too.

I love this CD. I really wish I could have seen them when they came through town a couple months back.

          Added after 57 seconds:

Dude... they're playing here tomorrow. Maybe I should jump on that.

ars, let us all know how the show goes...  You need to check out Riddle of Steel too, they're really good and releasing a new album called "1985" (like Van Halen's 1984).  MAN, I'd fly out to see this show, but I want to know if Talbot is definitely in the band!!!!

CRAP!  So the only way I'm going to find out who's in Open Hand is thru Riddle of Steel's drummer who is in another buddies band.  DAMMIT the suspense is killing me, I need to know!!!

well, here's the lowdown on the lineup...

2 bassist, 1 being Paul Malinowski, drummer: sammy of elevator division, and Justin, but no mention of Breanne? Rob says they were incredibly loud!!! Good turn out, maybe some video footage will leak on youtube like their other show that was filmed at the record bar... Oh yeah, it was mentioned that 2 ppl flew out from LA: justin and new bassist.. so either Breanne couldn't afford to fly out or she's out...

i just emailed the dude who filmed the show from last April @ the Record bar, hopefully he made it.  I'll keep you folks posted...

For those who care and might not know, Justin's father is legendary video director Wayne Isham

I always thought that was interesting

Thats all I have to say :?
