Anyone know this release?..I have been meaning to check it out for many months, even though it is a soundtrack of some kind. I thought I read that it was to go with, or for some film..but perhaps not.

3 lengthly (each 17mins+ all instrumental) pieces:

Water
Flour
Light

It reminded me in feel of some Post Rock in a way (Godspeed for example), but instead of guitars, they use piano and Sax on the 2nd piece "Flour" to create mood, atmosphere, etc.

Anyone else a fan of this record?..and if you like Menomena and haven't heard this, I'd recommend it. go here (pss: radiobutt.blogspot.com )

Brent here. I'd like you to be the first to know about Ramona Falls. It's a "solo" project, but not really because I collaborated with dozens of friends. The debut album will be called "Intuit" and is 11 songs long. You can stream two songs now, if you're curious.

Your support of Menomena has enabled me to do what I love, so thank you. I also want to thank Dannyand Justin for their encouragement. Speaking of D+J, we'll be recording the next Menomena album together this summer. I'm so excited.

According to a post on Menomena's website, multi-instrumentalist Brent Knopf has left the band to focus on his other musical project, Ramona Falls, as well as "other cre*ative pur*suits." The band states, "we want to thank Brent for his vast con*tri*bu*tions over the years and wish him noth*ing but hap*pi*ness in all of his future endeav*ors."

Knopf will be replaced by Paul Acott for Menomena's upcoming tour dates, including an Australia run as part of the Laneway Festival in February, a U.S. tour in March, and appearances at this year's SXSW and Coachella festivals. You can check out their entire touring schedule below.

In other Menomena news, a reissue of the band's 2003 debut I Am the Fun Blame Monster is scheduled for release sometime this spring via FILMGuerrero; according to a press release, the reissue will be a CD/DVD package "with extensive bonus materials".
