Anybody ever hear of them? www.myspace.com/anathallo

Very interesting/technical/soulful group. The immediate comparisons are to Gruvis Malt and Cursive(a stretch, but the guitar in Fugue 24 is reminiscient).

yea their sweet. Their newest, FLOATING WORLD is one the best records this year. Wish they'd come to Minneapolis and play. They aren't far away in MI anyway.

          Wow, what a nice atmosphere!
Sounds better than Sigur Ros in my opinion! (because Anathallo uses more drums)

Yeah, I'm confused. Broken Social Scene comes to my mind first. But I do enjoy their catalog of catchy and fun tunes.

They're a nice listen, especially with the horns. Send me a message at mkdrummer84 and I can get you their "Sparrows" album.

we're doing another Mix-Exchange on the Porcupine Tree Fans forum and I am certain I've gotta pick a track from these guys on my mix. My problem is, I am really not sure what song to pick. Thus far to me, they have a a handful of equally great songs among the stuff I have d/l and the new album. I'm thinkin either

                  LUMINIOUS LUMINESENCE or
                  A SONG FOR CHRISTINE...
or GARY AND MARCUS THE SOVEREIGNITY OF GOD IS OMINPRESENT
or one of the tracks off FLOATING~WORLD..

it's a good kind of problem when a band has too many good songs you can't pick one :P

i absolutely adore this band.  my friend played me "don't kid yourself...", and that was it.  the first time i saw them live just blew me away.
I had a conviction against rock music, but as I was surrounded by it, my beliefs were corrupted. This music eventually led to rebellion and moral failures.

Song for Christine definetly gets my vote, but I'll agree with tillybot, Hoodwink is up there.

Anathallo playing A Holiday at the Sea the 2003 Cornerstone Festival. Includes many original members of the band.
