Maybe a better way to do it then would be for the band to offer up every song that they'd be willing to play and then let the vote decide what makes the setlist? That way the band wouldn't be forced to play something that embarrassed them or they felt was a shitty song.
I guess I could just request songs I know they'll play:
1. Bug Eyes
2. Of The Room
3. Same Ol Road
4. Triangle
5. Yatahaze
Does that pacify everyone?
I don't have the time it takes to recover from the day
I sit and moan and mope and groan and never have my say
A crown of thorns from which is born a little baby bird
To fly away and have its day is nothing but absurd
they shold at least let us pick the old songs. we know they are going to play most of the new album and a few old "hits". when i have seen bands do this pick the set list thing, deftones and stp, neither one of them actually followed it, so it was a waste of time doing it.
Yeah, there's plenty of songs I really want to hear live, but ultimately I fear I missed those days. Now I just have to pray that I'll see them live this time around. Knowing Boise though, I'm fucked.
the only songs i really care about hearing live, that i haven't heard, would be the el cielo b-sides.....i missed out on those and those would really be the songs i'd ask them to play, if i could
