It would not be like we are asking the band to play like a jukebox, or would you consider something like this doing just that? I just figured it would be a cool promotional thing that can get their fans involved, dunno throwing it out there. Maybe a contest where you pick one of five songs they could cover and release as a b side or what song you would like them to try and render into a jazz/acid hop fushion version of itself.

Yes but I can see where people might get resentfull if they feel like they are being told what to do. Personally I wouldn't be offended by it but I can see where others might take see it that way.

Anyway, I would love to hear b-sides and different versions of songs (I agree with what auto said), but I'd rather leave that up to band to make that decision. You got people out there asking for On Again, Off Again and old nu-metal songs, that's just something I wouldn't like to hear.

i think this would be a good idea.....like i think buddy said, maybe just have the fans pick 5 songs total, and then dredg does the rest of the set however they want it to be.

Maybe a better way to do it then would be for the band to offer up every song that they'd be willing to play and then let the vote decide what makes the setlist? That way the band wouldn't be forced to play something that embarrassed them or they felt was a shitty song.
