seetickets' tracker has shown that they got hold of the Garage tickets some time today, and that they will be dispatched shortly
Finally ordered my Metro tickets and sorted out all my transport today too. I'm ending up going up and down from Nottingham for both shows, for a fun total of 14 hours travelling in the space of a day and a half. But, man, dredg
NIN the next day too - it's gonna seem so plain in comparison!
Umm... Circa Survive is touring the US. I think they're headlining now. They were opening with Emanuel for Say Anything, but Say Anything (who ROCKS) dropped off because their lead singer is crazy (he checked himself into the mental hospital for a nervous breakdown). Circa and Emanuel are finishing the tour.
Well, while this is fresh in my mind and we're staying at home...
The set list was something like:
Ode To The Sun
Bug Eyes
Same Ol' Road
Sanzen
Tanbark Is Hot Lava
Symbol Song
Jamais Vu
Of The Room
Triangle
The Ornament
The Canyon Behind Her
Yatahaze
Movement V: 90 Hour Sleep / Instrumental Outro
Though I suspect Telza/someone else will have a better idea than me. My camera isn't super awesome, but here are a few photos from me and a friend's camera. http://gingerninja.org/gallery/dredg20050706
It seemed like everyone there was taking photos constantly, be it on phones or proper cameras. I didn't see any video ones, or anyone recording, but if they DID I wonder how it turned out - the sound wasn't super.
Not a lot of any particular interest happened. There was no support band, so the doors opened about 45 minutes late. dredg came on (as in, ambled through the crowd) at half past nine. Small venue, good crowd of people who were really in to it. First time I've seen them, although they said they'd only been once before. Funny moments came when someone called out 'El Cielo' after Same Ol' Road.. Gavin just replied "That WAS from El Cielo" with a slightly confused look. Later on, he asked what we wanted to hear - "Catch without Arms" got a quick "Fuck no" from Drew. Gaving beating the slide guitar broke every string but two, but on the other hand I didn't see Dino break any sticks. To be fair I was mostly watching Drew's inhumanly dextrous feet controlling the samples.
I was going to go and buy a replacement camera today, but that's obviously not happening any more. I can only hope everyone is OK. It feels weird posting this now, but we're being told to stay at home so I'm doing just that
