Sorry for posting on-topic:
Love the Leitmotif album. Discovered it after El Cielo and was at first a bit put off by the much rawer approach in songwriting. It grew a lot on me since then, I especially love the spaced-out parts of it. It's more chaotic and not as focused sonically compared to El Cielo, and showcases the playful and fearless side of the band's attitude more than any other of their albums to date.
Without a doubt, Leitmotif is one of my favorite albums of all time. The music grounds me, and no matter what I'll always be able to fall back upon it.
In fact, I refused to buy El Cielo when it came out because I remember watching the "making of" clip that dredg put up on their old website and hearing Gavin say that it would be "different".
doesn't this record makes you feel that no matter how many times you have heard it,there's still something to unveil?I think I must read the story once more, it is just great!!!
Anybody ever notice on the vinyl, the song is actually called Penguins In The Fesert? And why were none of those fuckers actually numbered? I'd personally like to know if I had number 5 or if I had number 500.

I have number 001. At least in my mind.

How many dredg fans does it take to change a lightbulb?
Seven. One to change it, five to complain that the old one was better, and one talk about Gavins weight.

I don't know how long it's been there, but Leitmotif is now available for purchase on iTunes for $9.99. It also has the vinyl cover artwork. It would have been much easier paying the $9.99 than looking for (and eventually finding) the album in FLAC format (which I don't feel sorry about -- I've already paid for the CD twice new from a store, and I'm not paying $60 for a copy from some asshat on ebay).
I think I threw my case away when I moved at the start of March. The CD was destroyed beyond repair and I figured why bother keeping it? Maybe not the smartest thing since I could have just burned a new copy of the CD, but I'll eventually buy it used.
