My personal vote would be for Morning View just because I'm into that more relaxed cool vibe, and that is what I get out of that. I love all their stuff though.

Morning View put me off from Incubus. Granted, I only really was into Make Yourself.

I saw Incubus in high school and they played at the Thousand Oaks Teen Ctr for free. they opened w/the beginning of Holy Wars by Megadeth. It was spot on and bitchen at the time... This was way before they were signed. I like Make Yourself, but when I'm in an abstract mood I like science...

personally, make yourself, while I was around in the fungus, enjoy, then science days, i think my fav is MY. But, SCIENCE is their best album, it just doesn't "holdup" for me over time in alot of ways

Even Morning View was pretty good on its own, but now in retrospect, it certainly paved the way for a quick slide into the abyss...

In my opinion S.C.I.E.N.C.E. is hands down their best album. I also enjoyed Make Yourself a ton as well. I'm also sentimental about releases from the mid to late 90s because um... for lack of a better term I guess you could say that's when I "came of age." Make Yourself came out shortly before or after I got to college and we would always smoke to it.

I've checked out some stuff after Make Yourself but that's when they lost my interest and I stopped buying the albums. I don't even have mp3 copies, I just don't listen to their newer albums...not for me.

i saw them last year and the only SCIENCE song was Summer Romance. I knew that was going to happen, but I still wanted to hear at least New Skin or something! 70% of the show consisted new album material which everyone except me knew.

I tend to agree with you on that note, but S.C.I.E.N.C.E. has some good tunes. Overall, though, they will always be Stincubus to me.

i suppose i am in the minority here, as i enjoy their new albums, alot actually....sure, each has 1 or 2 tracks which are bleh for me, but the rest really are enjoyable to my ears. not in the same way as say dredg or kaddisfly, but not much is.

i love aclotm. i am definitely in the minority there. half of light grenades is great, half is sappy love songs.

Make Yourself is my favorite followed closely by SCIENCE. ACLOTM is awesome and I'd put it slightly ahead of Morning View and then Light Grenades. Light Grenades is good but some of the songs haven't had the staying power that their previous albums had.

Don't listen to Incubus but maybe once a year these days and I used to live and breathe their shit. So as a favorite I'm gonna go Morning View or Make Yourself, but MV probably just edges it out. I just dig the very relaxed vibe of the record. But once Dirk was out they just started to blow goats. I celebrated the day they went on hiatus/a break.

I'll always have a soft spot for Incubus, I think, and like Jon I can find a redeeming quality for most all of their releases. But my interest began dropping off with Morning View when they seemed to get a little lazy, and after Dirk left they just haven't been the same band.

I always felt like Kaddisfly picked up where Incubus left off with Make Yourself. I think that will be very true of their next album in particular.
