This changes nothing. The people on the White House lawn will pay $4 a gallon for gas and $3 for a loaf of bread tomorrow and not even flinch. Wall Street is the enemy. Sure, fuck Osama Bin Laden, but fuck Pat Robertson too.
Although i do agree with all of the "America fuck yeah rah rah" jingoistic bs as much as the next guy.Last edited by noclevername; May 2, 2011, 05:56 AM.

Re: Osama Bin Laden is dead
I guess. I mean, that's all true, but what does that have to do with this?
---
On topic: Great, he's dead, I'm glad. I have no problem saying he got what was coming to him. I'm especially glad that he was killed rather than captured.
Today, I was pissed off at gas prices. I was angry at how bad the job market is. I was mad at the debt our country is racking up.
Now, I could give a shit about that stuff. Now I'm worried about retaliation. It's going to be a tense year.Last edited by Gnomad; May 2, 2011, 07:14 AM.

Re: Osama Bin Laden is dead
I feel like the kid who doesn't celebrate Christmas. This doesn't really do anything for me either way.
On an unrelated note, I don't know why I celebrate Christmas.
---
I guess I just can't help but look at it this way:
10 years, 2 wars, 919,967 deaths, and $1,188,263,000,000 (interest and inflation not included) later, we managed to kill one person. Worth it?Originally posted by vsd...and to be frank...i think...

Re: Osama Bin Laden is dead
Not worth it at all. The death of Osama will change nothing, except now we have to find a new boogeyman to fool the masses with.
Some of you honestly take joy in the death of others?
---
We killed countless number of innocent people on a blood lust to get one man. Innumerable women were raped in this process. It is to the point where it appears that we committed just as much terrorism as Osama.Originally posted by KnifeboyI appreciate your distrust in the machine that is the medicinal industry

Re: Osama Bin Laden is dead
Yeah, I was kind of disappointed in the reaction last night. I was hoping that we, as a people, were beyond celebrating in the streets when someone is killed. Don't get me wrong, I think the world is better off without him, but I think the jubilation is kind of disheartening.I don't have the time it takes to recover from the day
I sit and moan and mope and groan and never have my say
A crown of thorns from which is born a little baby bird
To fly away and have its day is nothing but absurd

Re: Osama Bin Laden is dead
god damn dude, 2011 has been really eventful. (Senator shooting, Tsunami in Japan, political collapse of an entire region of the world, now this. there have been other things of course). How many dredg fans does it take to change a lightbulb?
Seven. One to change it, five to complain that the old one was better, and one talk about Gavins weight.

We didn't take to the streets waving middle fingers. We took to the streets chanting USA.Last edited by One Second Clubber; May 2, 2011, 02:46 PM.Originally posted by Ars SycroI have a type. I like hot bitches.
