I saw this thing in the grocery store today called an "evercare Fabric Shaver". The packaging calls it a "Heavy Duty Battery Operated Fuzz Remover". It's like a little hand-held electronic device that is supposed to remove "unsightly pilling and fuzz balls" and "restore clothing to a like-new appearance". It sounded kinda gimmicky to me but it was only $5.99 so I figured I'd give it a shot.

Well, it's wonderful. Most likely the best $6 I've ever spent. I used it on two of my band hoodies: my Mars Volta hoodie I have had and worn regularly for around 6 years, and my dredg hoodie from their last tour that was already looking very shoddy. It's super effective and effortless and I don't think it's possible to damage your clothes with it with any kind of misuse. I didn't realize how shitty my hoodies had gotten until I used this thing on them.

Wonderful investment.

I've never really had an issue with my hoodies getting dirty...

...but then again, maybe they're filthy and I'm just used to it...

I might have to look out for this device that you speak of...

It's way too big for me, but it's super comfy. I bought it off him YEARS ago when they came to Newquay to play on Fistral beach during a surf contest. I was chatting to him at the merch stall for ages and did a cd swap. Lars was wearing the last hoody, and sold it to me for cheap as he's very awesome. I think I've still got the recording of that show hanging around somewhere if anyone's interested.
