I feel like 2010 was a transitional year. A lot of good things happened in 2010, but very few super memorable things and I honestly can't think of a overly negative event...

So how's everyone else feeling about this year? Bad, good, eh?

Does anyone have anything of great significance that they're looking forward to in 2011?

    Re: 2010

2010 can by and large blow me. The later portion of it has been transitional as well for me, but things aren't workin' out like I was hopin' they would.

So here's to 2011 havin' a quick turnaround on my luck!

Seven. One to change it, five to complain that the old one was better, and one talk about Gavins weight.

2010 has the distinction of being one of the worst and best years of my life. A dynamic year for sure.

Nah, you're wrong. 2011 for the transitional period!

Transitional year sums up 2010 pretty damned well for me, seeing how I was unemployed from january till the first of december. Where I landed my dream job.

At least the dream job that was realistic to get in my current situation. A junior software developer position, that I'm slightly underqualified and slightly overpaid for. Doesn't get any better than that

2010 was a great year of transition for me. i finished up my masters program, and was accepted to a doctoral program--after many rejections. subsequently, we all packed up and head to the east coast, where we bought a house. (i am still conflicted about how we bought the house.) i wrapped up my first semester of studies feeling as though there were no way i was cut out for this nonsense. i really felt as though i was going to flunk out, but i performed very well. moreover, i received conformation that my first scholarly article will be published in 2011. such academic assurance--to use a trope from my subject matter--is wonderful. it is also frightening. this liminal space is (dis)comforting.

yeah, I would say 2010 was certainly a "transitional" year for me.

I just wanted to say this had me laughing pretty hard when I saw it while I was banned. I just imagine you playing poker with us at a table and you saying that with a poker face right before you fold your hand.

I wanted to put it as my signature for my dsv account, but the banning won't let me. I guess the sleeping smiley is good enough for now...actually, I'd go so far as to say it's perfect :]

^ Your name makes me like you less for some reason. Is that considered discrimination?
