no, mewithoutyou no longer identifies as a christian band in the evangelical sense. they sort of have moved towards attenuating this identity with their recent incorporation of islamic themes in their music. but they have also stepped away from the christian movement in many other ways. for instance, their lyrics are not cliche; they demonstrate some ability at music other than saying "i love jesus." most importantly, their theology is rather robust and not as shallow or as problematic as the majority of christian artists out there.
