so here it goes, feel free to call me crazy.....

so a little backstory. i've had dreams that have come true. obviously not the crazy 'i'm flying' dreams, but more realistic ones. for me, it's that sensation of deja vu, like 'this has happened before', for me when i get that, my brain always flashes back to a dream i had years prior and i'll sit there dumbfounded for a moment while it sync's in and the weirdness fades.

two examples that come to mind the most.

    1. when i was like 9 or 10, i had a dream that i was in my aunts finished basement, playing a strange type of video game that didn't exist. at the time it was just nes in real life, regardless. plus, my aunt's basement was in fact that, a basement, complete with concrete floors and cobwebs. flash forward about 6 years and i find myself over my aunts house, in her newly finished basement playing nintendo 64, wave race. i get the feeling, it hits me, and i just set the controller down and sat there for a few minutes.

    2. a few years ago i was working at a crappy job. i had a dream in which i was at work, but it wasn't my work, it was different, different job, different office building, desk, everything. two years later, i find myself at my new job, and we just transitioned offices. the perfect moment hit and it dawned on me, flashed to the dream, and sat there for a few mintues weirded out.

so as of late, i've been having dreams, nothing all too realistic, kind of crazy stuff. but, during the day at work, usually at least once a day, something will happen that will cause me to flash and remind me of the dream, at which point my mind starts subconciously thinking about it. at this point, i feel intense pressure on the side of my head, my brain i'm assuming and i suddenly start to get a very nauseous feeling where it feels like i may be sick. it lasts for like 10 seconds, but the nausea lasts for a little bit. not really deja vu feeling, just visions from the dream coming to me mid-day.

should i be worried? tumor perhaps? i'm thinking of going to see a dr. and see if they think anything of it, probably leaving out the part of dreams coming true. what do you think?

if you've read this far, congratulations...i guess i owe you one last part then...

back in september, i had a dream that i was in a big city, walking down the street. some young guy on the street asks me for money, to which i reply i don't have any. i proceed to walk into some fast food restaurant and he follows me. as i go through the door he grabs me, i turn around and he stabs me in the stomach, pushes me up against the wall and down on to the ground and mugs me. i sit there and start bleeding out, things start to fade and then i woke up. i had a month long trip to toronto after that dream and was a little hesitant where ever i went. nothing happened....oh...did i mention i just moved to san francisco? needless to say, i'm not too thrilled about it

also, this is 100% serious...say what you want

    Re: weird situation...

I get that all the time. It's called Dream Premonition, and there's a few theories on why it happens, or really more about why we feel so strongly about the coincidence.

Let me see if I can explain what a psychology teacher/psychologist told me about it. We have 365 dreams a year. Since dreams are usually nonsensical, our minds will usually do their best to fill in the blanks to make it make some sense. So basically, our mind makes our dreams somewhat understandable by generalizing everything. It could be a situation much like something you'd eventually experience. Sure, it feels unique. But it's just your brain relating two things. It helps that our every day life finds itself in our dreams extremely often. So back to the start... we have 365 dreams a year. 3650 dreams every 10 years. And so on and so forth. What are the chances that you're going to have a dream about something realistic and plausible that you'd eventually experience anyway? Pretty damn good.

It's a fairly common experience. There's nothing negative or positive associated with it. It's just weird.

        Re: weird situation...

I've had that several times. Nothing special or strange about it, when you take the amount of dreaming you do, and couple it with the vast amount of memory biases ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_memory_biases ) built into our brains, it doesn't seem too surprising

My favourite dream come through dream, was when I lived at home, and dreamt my mother came in and woke me up.... Then I awoke from that dream because my mother came and woke me up.... And then THAT turned out to be a dream... and my mother actually came and woke me up
now that was a strange way to start the day

Not exactly what you're describing, but I've experienced what you describe too, for example I had a nightmare as a child that involved a very unique looking house, and then 8 years later while travelling through Austria, I saw a house that looked exactly like the one from my dream

I never had pain or nausea, so I've never asked if it's associated. It probably isn't. The mind is extremely powerful, so you never know what might be going on. If you're worried, see a doctor. Pain and nausea could mean a LOT of things. Could be a tumor, but I don't think it's likely.

moral of the story: don't eat fast food.

i've had some dreams come true. some good, some bad.

for the past year or so i've been remembering parts of dreams at weird times. i'll be playing music and all of a sudden a part of a dream that occurred days, weeks, or even months ago will pop into my conscience. it's a dream that i probably didn't even remember the morning it happened. my brain is clearly filing these dreams into a rarely used memory section, and i've begun stumbling upon them more and more frequently.
