alright, so i am having some issues with my HDMI cables and my home theater system, and i was wondering if any of you could help me out? specifically, i was wondering if there was a way to test if HDMI cords are operating properly? here is what i got going on: i have a roku player and an playstation 3 on the hdmi cables. because the home theater system is only has one spot available for both of these devices, i run them through a rocketfish HDMI switcher. the problem i am having is that the television will sometimes flicker, as though the connection is bad. i thought it might be the television, but i have not witnessed the television do this very often when watching cable. granted, i do not watch much cable, so it could likely be happening. the misses, who watches an inordinate amount more than i do, is unsure if the problem is occurring when she is watching cable. any ideas?
of course the switcher might be bad. as for my cables: i run an interesting mix of high-end HDMI cables and super cheap ones.
