As Tall As Lions

I'm surprised there isn't a topic on them (at least that I can find), especially due to the fact they are opening for dredg soon.

My short story w/ em. Saw the name in '07 in Alternative Press 100 Band issue. Liked them a little, found a used copy of their cd. Then I grew bored by them. I recall 1 or more of the members helped out The Dear Hunter on tour that year.

So I just read a bit ago they have a new album coming out on August 18th called "You Can't Take It With You." I just went over to their myspace and noticed a new song called "Circles" is up and it was a lot better than anything I recall hearing previously. It reminds me of The Dear Hunter actually.

So now, I'm a little bit intrigued by them and this new album.

Anyone else?..fans?

someone gave me burned copies of their first 2 albums and i liked them a lot. but i haven't listened to them much. i need to buy them.

great, mature band that is doing well in todays music scene, support the hell out of these guys, they are entirely legit. incredible song writers with a mind for tone and atmosphere on record and an absolutely stellar live show. Saw these guys about 3 years back at the Higher Ground in Burlington, ended up getting super high with the bassist and drummer afterwards. Can't wait to see em again with dredg.

They remind me of Day One Symphony, just without synthesizer. Nice!
