      i thought i heard new news (yeah i know, sounds dumb reading those 2 words next to one another) of the band working on another album. awesome. i was just saying to someone that they've been playing the same material for like four years now. most bands go nuts doing that unless there's a lot of jamming.

          Fair to Midland and Mew kinda did the same..although in both of their cases they included a lot of new material and re-recorded some songs.

              new song in the "Twlight Soundtrack"

              new album = Spring of 2009

              Current mood: awake

              Mute Math will release a new song, "Spotlight", as part of the official motion picture soundtrack for the forthcoming film "Twilight". Mute Math has also composed new music for one of the scenes in the movie. The film, an action-packed modern day love story between a vampire and human, is based off Stephanie Meyer's New York Times Bestselling series of Vampire novels. The soundtrack will be available November 4 on Chop Shop/Atlantic. The movie will release November 21. "Spotlight" will also be featured on Mute Math's sophomore album due out spring 2009.

                      darren told me yesterday that they are hoping to finish the album by the end of the month. they will do a few shows in the spring, album out in summer and tour in fall.

                          I'm finding this is a digital release only... right? I want a CD copy of this... prolly wishful thinking... they prolly won't release it on hardcopy...
