Klimt 1918 - Just in case we never meet again

I know there are (or were) some fans around here of this Italian band as it was here I 1st saw their name, but I'm surprised there isn't a topic about them. 2005's "Dopoguerra" really is a classic in my mind. Put it on 40 or more times over the last few years, perfectly flowing, moody, catchy, energetic disc. Their earlier stuff ain't bad either, altho some of it was more hinting towards gothic and darker metal. So their newest disc:



release date is June 24th "Just in case we never meet again (soundtrack for the cassette generation)"

sucker still hasn't leaked afaik..but they did finally upload 2 new songs ""Skygazer" and "The Graduate" to their myspace which aren't bad..the 2nd half of each song got better.

They lost their guitarist after Dopoguerra right? I'm hoping it doesn't affect them too much because I love that album.

yeah they changed guitarists..I forget the name of the new guy, but I guess I'm in a wait-and-see for this, but I'll admit, I don't want to expect this album to be as good as DOPOGUERRA..I just dunno if this band is good to enough to match that..maybe due to the fact I was new to them at the time, but I'd love to be proven wrong. Seems when you raise the bar, the result never lives up to the hope, and vice-versa.

Hmm I liked what I heard from their Myspace, I will check out those downloads. They seem to remind me a bit of Katatonia who I like alot.

yeah the Katatonia one they get a lot..personally I've never been able to totally get into Katatonia, but I probably haven't heard enough.

Afa this album..I'd be surprised if I get attached to it like I did their last one, but just on 1st impression..there's 4 or 5 tracks I liked especially in the 2nd half.

really surprised to see these guys mentioned on here. they added me a year or so ago on myspace. really liked what i heard from their first album. kinda scared by anxious for the forth coming one.
