Scientists have now observed, for the first time, the actual process of evolution in a laboratory setting.
A colony of E. Coli bacteria took more than 38,000 generations to make a single shift, but that shift was noticeable and important - the ability to metabolize citrate.
Please read the article. This is important for anyone who thinks that evolution is just an idea and isn't something demonstrable.
