Ask Vedera about the name changing - how did it come about? was their label involved? were they on a label when it happened? what did they do to help out? how did it effect them afterwards?

Oh... and come to the UK. Of course!

You're so silly, you can't curse on the FCC regulated airwaves!

I may be a poor college student, but I'm not that poor $4? ha!

I definitely want to ask about the name change - I was late in realizing it changed because the station's copy of the Weight of an Empty Room is under "VEDA"  - which is how I knew them before coming here... also I actually got confused in finding the CD cause there is a band named "Vaeda"

Haha, yeah specifically but I'd like to hear the story of how they chose "Veda" and how they changed it to "Vedera", if they had any other ideas in mind too - it's interesting.,

Hayley..I'm playing RvtO today..and some questions are coming up. But the most important which I assume you're gonna hafta ask is about the new record.

When do they hope/look/anticipate it to be out
                  What it's called
And how it will differ from RvtO or even the debut EP.

Another one I thought of is violin/string driven music influences..but I wanna put that and some others together 1st.

also decoymusic.com there are a ton of fans..maybe I could post this interview link there sometime today for ya if you're not on that forum.

Sure - that would be great! you can link our myspace (as it has all the info to listen live and such), anyone can submit questions (if you want to make a thread asking people to post questions [kind of like i did here] please send me the link :-D) Thanks!

I'm definitely curious about the orchestration of the new cd...

their former violinist plays with an instrumental band called Skeletonbreath... I saw them at a house party about a month ago, pretty fun!

                      Hayley,

Chorus.fm is a curated music destination for those looking for something outside of the mainstream. News, reviews, forums, articles, and commentary. Founded by Jason Tate.

                      Some of My questions:

"Are or have the band been influenced by music that uses violin and strings in non-traditional ways, often in Rock. Groups such as (early) King Crimson, Kansas, Frank Zappa, Clann Zu and Murder by Death of course who are on the upcoming tour with them"

"Was 'Dress Up' originally called 'S****(just say "bleep" for radio) In Suits' as the promo says and why did it get changed?"

"Was the Video for 'Machines' inspired by any 80's videos, in particular, the Dire Straits video for 'Money For Nothing' with the animation?"

"Is Reality vs. the Optimist an example of 'Less is More' since in some ways it seems longer than the 30+ minutes it clocks in at?"

The interview is available for download here - http://www.sendspace.com/file/lo14of

On our myspace music player we have the Kiss Kiss station ID up (we record it at the end of the interview but it's neat if you want to see how it sounds edited up all purrrty). It was definitely informative and fun, feedback is welcomed and please check us out and add us on myspace if you like what you heard - besides, we play great music too wink
