My new computer is on the way!

I ordered all my own parts to make a computer. I also went ahead and ordered the Ultimate Edition of Vista. Unfortunately, Vista and the monitor arrive tomorrow. Then the case and video card and other assorted goodies arrive Friday. But the hard drives and motherboard won't arrive until Monday

Oh well, I'm just happy to be making my own computer in a few days!

This will be the first system I've built, and my first desktop in 5 years.

I've taken apart computers before, and changed out parts, so I know how the inners work.

Some specs:
XION Solaris case with 4 external 5.25" drive bays, and 6 3.5" bays (1 external, 5 internal).
DFI LANPARTY UT motherboard, Socket AM2, up to 4 gigs of DDR2 800 RAM, 8 SATA 3 connections, 2 ethernet jacks, 6 USB2.0, IEEE-1394a
AMD Athlon 64 X2 4600+ Windsor 2.4 GHz
GIGABYTE GV-NX66L128DP GeForce 6600LE 128MB 128-bit DDR PCI Express x16 Video Card (eventually upgrading to 256)
1 gig of memory (for now)
250 GB harddrive (running Fedora/Linux)
500 GB harddrive (running Vista)
A DVD-ROM & DVD Burner
Card Reader

and a Spectre 19" widescreen monitor

And I got it all from newegg.com, except for Vista, which I ordered from Amazon.

I don't think I've ever been on a monitor this size.

What are you using Fedora for? I was using Fedora Core 6 till my damn Hard Drive died on me. I had a problem with it for a while with Adobe Flash player. I think other than that it was alright...

...I think I'm going to try a different version of Linux now. Just need to do a little reading to see what I'd like to test out... Any Suggestions anyone?

I'm using it mainly for programming stuff. It's just a nice environment to try stuff out in.

As for other suggestions, I've only ever used Fedora and RedHat (pre-Fedora).
