when sports game/show producers pick their music, do they care AT ALL what the majority of sports fans listen to?

They used dredg during a video package about Tom Brady back when CWA came out. What does that tell you?

Still, it makes me want to take a flamethrower to a bus full of kindergartners.

Or, you know, listen to something different.

Hip-Hop/Rap makes me want to punch a baby with a baby, so I feel you. But I love electronic music like Prodigy, whatever music Oakenfold uses in a set, BT, Air, etc. Skrillex and dub-step in general is a thousand times less offensive to me than Nu-Metal. DnB is just as dependent on a certain style/effect, but people seem to dig that, so I just don't get it.

like if you really break it down a normal rock band has all these different effects and sounds via guitar/bass pedals, keyboards, different drums including electronic drums, vocals, anything you can really think about... all kinds of different soundscapes. With dubstep, it almost like a group of guys doing the same effects every single song, without any variation of effect.

Plus, im getting sick of hearing dubstep on any sports montage... its like... when sports game/show producers pick their music, do they care AT ALL what the majority of sports fans listen to? because there is no possible way dubstep is the majority.

I watched english Rugby a while ago and amazingly they use Biffy Clyro - The Golden Rule as their theme song.

That was very cool.

For sports montages in sweden for big football (soccer) championships you are bound to hear a lot of post-rock. Especially Explosions in the sky. Also on sports award shows, when they get bored with Coldplay, they put on Mew instead. Am I Wry? seemed to be the theme an entire night.

I'm not sure how to respond to the first part... is it just a lack of understanding sarcasm or do I really come off as someone that would charbroil children in a steel, yellow coffin?

As for the rest, I don't like DnB either. Both DnB and WubWub just sound like shitty bass and static to me.

Total sarcasm. I mean, I did follow it up with saying I wanted to punch a baby... with another baby.

Now that I think about it, one of my favorite DnB groups sounds like a less schizo Skrillex, and they were doing it like 8 years ago.
