I didn't watch the latest promotional video. If it doesn't have music I really don't care all too much. I thought the comments from the "Acid Test" were a little over the top in terms of people angered by the method in which the teasers were given (dredg condoning/marketing drugs).
I like the "Chuckles" idea and the album cover does spur conversation provoke curciousity about the album's direction.
I like "The Thought of Losing You". It's not in my top 10 of dredg songs but I do find it catchy and it is a fun song. I don't take it too seriously and I enjoy it for what it is. I do like "Upon Returning". I also think it's a fun song that will get you moving. "Where I'll End Up" I enjoy as well - I completely forgot about this song and it's been in my iTunes collection for years but I just re-discovered it - I overlooked it entirely during the TPTPTD build-up. I'm anxious to hear where they went with it because I think it fits perfectly with the tone of TPTPTD. That full acoustic version of "The Ornament" has been on my iPod since they played it - I love it. The teaser sounds similar though it does seem to have a more timed out/pace to it - hopefully the emotion in Gavin's voice doesn't fade on the album version.
All in all, I'm not expecting this to be my favorite dredg release. I don't think they expect it to be most fans' favorite. But it should be fun and different and offer some interesting nuances to any dredg playlist.

haha those people need to lighten the fuck up and have an open mind... most of those idiots complained more about all the smoking of weed and seemed to look past that fact that i was tripping fucking balls on acid...
