Me too.... but compared to their other stuff, it would be considered bad.

In fact, I like it better than Leitmotif.

It's the album I listen to the most these days, I think.

Agree. This is the album I listen to mostly. And El Cielo when I have the time/mood to listen all of it.
I don't know if it is overrated outside of that board, but for me it's totally underrated here!

It's easier to listen to then the others because you can listen to a single song and move on. You can't do that with Leitmotif or El Cielo.

I can with Leitmotif and some of them are too tough for me and I don't like that way of singing, but the music is great. The end of Yatahaze is the most I can't like from that way of singing. And it totally makes sence there.
El Cielo - I can't listen partly and as background, doesn't work well.

Compared to the rest of the music out there? Wonderful.
Compared to the rest of dredg's catalog? Only second best (may end up third as "The Pariah, the Parrot, the Delusion" gets more play and we learn more).

My personal ranking of the current three are: El Cielo, Catch Without Arms, and Leitmotif.

I love them all. But I love some more than others. All three blow the competition out of the water with little exception.

Plus, my personal theme song ("Not That Simple"), my virgin dredg moment ("Bug Eyes" on Napster radio), and the song that turned even my parents on to liking dredg ("Matroshka") are all on this album.

Re: Album Discussion: Catch Without Arms

I love CWA, in fact its probably my favorite of thier albums. I do feel that El Cielo and Lietmotif are their best work, and those albums are much more artistic and unique. Yes, CWA did kind of sound like they became more radio friendly, but I love that they did that. I mean, El Cielo is one of those rare, impossible to be topped albums and im glad the band took a new direction and gave us an album with a different sound. Who would want to listen to another album that sounds similar to El Cielo?? Ive seen a lot of posts on here of fans that really dislike the newer Dredg, and yes there are many bands that "sell-out" but Dredg does not fit this category. The sound on CWA was different but It still was amazing and I love it. I also love the new songs that Ive heard so far from the new record. Its different, and thats why im excited to get it. Bands are the best when each album is different and amazing. Go DREDG!
