Dark Side of the Moon (someone had to do it)
I don't have the time it takes to recover from the day
I sit and moan and mope and groan and never have my say
A crown of thorns from which is born a little baby bird
To fly away and have its day is nothing but absurd

This is the album I compare all others to. Unfairly I must add, as I don't feel as though it can be topped. For me, there is something for every part of my musical tastes and results in an orgasmic experience for my ears, mind, and soul.

                  Re: Album Discussion: El Cielo

i love this album, and so did most people i showed it to. i let someone borrow it one time, and after a month, they didnt want to give it back, so they borrowed it for another month. turns out that dredg would become this person's favorite band. as a matter of fact, most of my friends now love dredg because of el cielo.

i especially love the dynamics of canyon and sanzen. those two are my current favorite dredg songs.

I have to agree with your fix. Dark Side of the Moon is at best my 4th favorite Pink Floyd album.

But, it's almost a rule that someone has to compare El Cielo to Dark Side of the Moon.

                          Re: Album Discussion: El Cielo

My favorite album of all time. It has everything I could ask for from an album, good production, varied yet cohesive, songs that bleed into one another, a concept, experimentation, emotion, and a great closer (in this case the perfect closer). It set the bar for every other album I listen to and has yet to be raised. I can listen to it any time, may I be happy or sad, it complements any mood I'm in. To my ears it is musical perfection.
