noclevername- I was anticipating something like that haha.
auto- I read nonfiction stuff mostly too. But mine tends to focus on medical stuff (I have a physicians desk reference and some alternative/herbal medicine books) and skincare
I also have a collection of religious books and some eclectic books on physical mutants, transgendered people, serial killers, neurology, psychology and a book of poetry and art from female prison inmates. That all kind of represents my diverse tastes heh

body piercing kind of melds my medical interests and knowledge of skin anatomy/physiology/care with my sense of aesthetics.

And I just love understanding how things work. Especially how people work, since I am one. I had acne when I was a teenager and that started my interest in skincare, as I had to learn a lot to figure out what would work best and not irritate my skin since it's so sensitive. So I had to learn about how skin works and how it reacts with different chemicals in products and stuff. I actually went to school to be a skincare specialist/esthetician but it was too much pseudoscience and I didn't like doing the bullshit like touching peoples faces to do face massages, which don't do a whole lot to benefit the skin anyway but that was the big focus of the schooling.

methodism being the methodists, correct? Are you religious? I tend to be a fan of books on christianity in general, both on modern protestant christian ideas as well as the history of christianity (Haven't read all that extensively into that though)

i am religious, but not spiritual.

How does that work?
The opposite seems like a pretty popular thing for most people to say.
I'm kinda nondenominational but my favorite preaching is at a presbyterian (pca) church.
