Tying those two topics together, Nickelback and the halftime show, we were discussing who would be the best band they could get right now that has a huge following. I said Muse, but I doubt it'd ever happen. My friend's brother suggested (more like "claimed there was no other band that should possibly ever be given the option") Nickelback. He was dead serious.

As I just pointed out on Facebook the other day, the only good U2 album is "Zooropa," and that's because there are four good songs on it:

Zooropa
Lemon
Numb
Stay

That's it. None of their other albums have that many songs on them that I like. They are completely overrated with a few song exceptions. Shit, even the ones I like off Zooropa aren't their best work, but they're good songs on one album together. Surprised they could pull that off...

I kinda like U2 just because The Edge is totally boss. And along with Queen they are the ultimate stadium rock band capable of sounding totally massive.

It took them 10 hour long days to record all the layers. There are over 150 vocals mixed together. It took them 3 weeks to even mix that minute long section.

it does surprise me that they have never done it live (they may have but i don't have the drive to check around the internets) but it doesn't surprise me that they didn't do this part live.
