My only real gripe with this list is the absence of Failure's 'Fantastic Planet'.

                    I didn't vote, though, so that's that.

Oh, and I think #31 should be replaced with 'S.C.I.E.N.C.E'.

^ I'm surprised no one called me out on this. I was thinking about it while I was filtering at work on Monday and I was like..."Ohhh shit...it was just for the DECADE, I bet."

Sometimes it's hard for me to read what's right in front of my face...

I liked Catch Without Arms better than Pariah. eh.

It's also pretty ironic that I own some of those cd's despite them being kind of obscure bands.
                        just sayin'...

                          Very Solid list.

Wow, thanks for bumping this OSC. Pretty damn good list guys. I wasn't active during this time, but I dig the hell out of this list. Kinda reminds me of the Sputnikmusic list. I have an even deeper respect for the taste of this forum's members now.

I'm quite surprised to see Opeth's Ghost Reveries and not Blackwater Park make the list though.

Still, great list. There are a couple albums on there that I missed that I will now investigate.

Porcupine Tree, Mew, Muse, BTBAM, EITS, Muse, Sigur Ros, Deftones, Oceansize, Mars Volta, Radiohead, The Dear Hunter, Tool, dredg, various post-rock.
so this is Traversingcore? Sounds about right.

The only real surprise on the list to me is Bon Iver.
