I didn't get much music out of the nineties. My folks where pretty strict with music back then
My parents were strict with pretty much everything BUT music
And music in the 90's was a lot better than all the shit thats out there now...both mainstream and underground. Great music is extremely rare these days. Or maybe I'm just old.
i have nothing against 90s rock music. It was quite a revolutionary time for music, especially after the 80s. But like every era of music, some real shit churned out.
Staind sucked whale cock. Most 90's music was shitty, all of the 80's music was crap and most of the stuff this decade licks a dog's ass as well.

We'll fuck standing and we'll fuck then lying, if they had wings we'll fuck them flying, when they are dead and long forgotten we'll dig them up and fuck them rotten.

Same here.

See i disagree, i think in every era. EXCEPT for the eighties, theres always good music if you dig through the shit. Every decade had their shit trust me, but most of them had geniuses that no one really knew about that people had to find and spread the word.
and by the way, staind's first album dysfunction was a good album for what it was. It was raw, and it rocked ass. Its a whole lot better than what alot of "normal rock" is today. Nickleback, linkin park, etc etc.
Google "Nutsack" and see what kind of pictures come up
I think the 80s was the worst time period as far as music goes. It just sounds so horrible. I'm sure there were a few hidden gems buried somewhere deep in an 80s record store, but as for the mainstream 80s music, I just can't get past the overuse of synthesizers and doo-wop melodies.
There are only a few decent bands that came out of the 80s' old disgusting decrepit womb that can be deemed metal. Those bands are Metallica, Guns N Roses, Van Halen, and Iron Maiden. (Of course I'm only talking about mainstream 80s music here though. I was not alive to know of any underground 80s bands.)
the good 80's: the cure, depeche mode (to an extent)
the rest was just novelty shit . . . occasionally entertaining, but never enlightening . . .
there was a higher amount of bullshit crapped out in the 90's, but there was some brilliant music . . . far, failure, portisead, radiohead, atdi, deftones, tool . . . shit, even dredg recoded leitmotif in '98 . . . it was a different era for sure, but some of the music definitely built the groundwork for what we listen to now . . .
