Billy, looks like I don't deserve your 10 beers. I got to work at 7 and wasn't on the schedule (hadn't gotten a cancellation call), so I sat around in the lobby, doing nothing, 'til 7:30. Eventually, they're just like, "Well, since you're gonna get paid for 2 hours anyway, you might as well go to a unit until 9:30." No unit needed an extra person, but instead of just letting me go home, they make me sit on a unit doing nothing for 2 hours.

There's no use being home, though, 'cause I'm ignoring my parents and there's nothing to do. Guess I'll find something to eat 'cause I'm hungry.

And, Ooga, there's nobody else on the planet I'd rather share waffles with than you.

Speaking of waffles, those seem to be the easiest thing to "make" right now.

Well, that's not true in general. When I was working every day I was scheduled, I had more than enough work to keep me busy. It's just that I've been getting cancelled a lot lately [low-census at the center]. Sometimes, the units have slow days and there's nothing to do other than sit there, monitor the kids, and finish up your paperwork.
