You know, once there was this huge fucking black spider by a light switch in my house. Because I needed to turn the light on, I had to suck it up and hit the switch. The fucking thing fell off the wall and hit the floor. I HEARD it hit the floor. Then it scuttered under the washer as I stood paralyzed.

If I had stepped on it, I'm sure it would have made a sickening sound.

Look what I found about spiders attacking with their hair (if they have any):

Hairs! That's right! Some species of spiders (the Mygalomorphs) will attack their enemies with hair!

How is this done? The spider rubs its abdomen with its back two legs. This scrapes off tiny special hairs that are coated with poison. A cloud of hairs floats up to the predator and makes its eyes and nose itch and water.

Sometimes the hairs can even blind the predator for a short time ... time enough for the spider to escape!

Well, I have every year so far.

But this year is different because:

a.) My brother is a fucking weirdo now.
b.) My mother and her latest husband plan on going somewhere on their own.
c.) My grandparents (the usual Thanks-G-Dayers) will be out celebrating it in TX with their relatives.

.....so.... My job is to adapt.
