hmmm. Anyone remember that whole Halo 2 ilovebees thing last year (For those who dont know, Microsoft put the name of a website on one of their trailers, ilovebees.com, and when one would go their the site was all hacked and there were clues everywhere about the upcoming game that got millions of people all excited and wanting more) This might sound stupid, but maybe its a marketing ploy, not on the level of ilovebees, but maybe. Its been done for many other things too. Get people all hyped about the next tour/album. We could keep our eyes out and see what happens with this, maybe some other stuff will pop up with like some peeks to the next album. I'd enjoy that stuff. I love treasure hunts.
Its probably a bored hacker, but there is that possibility.
