  • Who is listening to Black Map - In Troves

I've listened to it a few times and I am enjoying it a bit more than ...And We Explode. It just seems more consistent. Mark's playing on this one has a few more dredg-esque moments. It's definitely not as delay-heavy (though Transit I screams dredg circa TPTPTD), but you can hear his classic speed-riffing, especially on Dead Ringer, which is my favorite track so far.

Seven. One to change it, five to complain that the old one was better, and one talk about Gavins weight.

I'm just getting to this release and my initial reaction is, yep, I'm a fan. And there are definitely some Mark dredg-esque riffs on this album, which is awesome! Case in point: "No Color".

I'm going to see them tonight. I need Mark to come through for me and make sure they play Dead Ringer.

Diggin' the new album! And their show in Raleigh on Thursday night was great, even though the sound at the club was pretty sucky. Didn't know Ben was from the next town over (Durham).

And I didn't wanna fangirl over Mark too hard (did finally get him to sign CWA and TPTPTD though), annnd he said they will be writin' this fall! And that "the songs will sound more like the old stuff," whatever that means. I would guess just less like Chuckles.
