who knows, i am just about sick of caring. i have learned that they seem to put very little effort into keeping fans interested in between albums, besides touring.

i am curious as to what you would expect for a band to do to "keep fans" in between albums.

tool seems to keep their fans just fine between albums.

apparently doing nothing for long stretches of time, and making wine is the perfect way to keep fans, actually...

apparently doing nothing for long stretches of time, and making wine is the perfect way to keep fans, actually...

that's true, but dredg is nowhere near as big as tool to be able to do 5 year spans of nothing. I'm not saying dredg hasnt done nothing in the past 5 years, but throw us an update saying, "well were taking the rest of the year off. We'll be back with stuff early next year." Some little message like that will hold people like me to not make a thread like this one.

they did just get back from touring you know. barely a month ago, actually.

just sayin...next time you travel half the world for months on end, you better be sending out twitter updates like a mad man no more than a week after you get back.

Maybe they're taking a Christmas vacation? Bands shouldn't ALWAYS have to be doing stuff to keep fans interested. If someone loses interest in a band just because they're not doing anything, then they're not a real, true fan.

The dredg twitter page said a week or so ago that they'll be touring the East Coast probably in early spring.

Speaking of twitter, Drew has apparently been very creative lately. He painted trees, made animal documentaries, tested movie props, opened wine bottles with sneakers, made even more animal documentaries.
