Would you honestly like this album if dredg hadn't made it?

Absolutely. This is a phenomenal album. Good bands do release horrible music though and alienate fans. I'm not much of a fan of these guys but, Metallica did that with their album St. Anger. Many die-hard Metallica fans hated that record. If dredg released something that I perceived to dislike, I would express just that.
