    El Cielo SACD

    Speaking of good sound quality, who have a El Cielo SACD version?
    I'm really interested how it sounds. What is the difference between regular stereo and this edition? On which systems do you listen it? Stereo, Quad, 5.1?

    SACD is a very unique system. It must be played on a SACD player and plays in 5.1. Hybrids can be played in regular stereos, but they play a layer which is just a normal CD layer on the disc.

    I don't own a SACD player. The only album I've ever actually cared about on SACD is El Cielo, and it just doesn't warrant spending all of that money.

    The last time I spoke with Drew, I asked him if they were planning on releasing anything on DVD-Audio and his response was, "What?" Apparentely he's not a DVD-A geek. Anyway, he said that they had no idea and weren't planning anything. They basically had nothing to do with the El Cielo SACD. Interscope was responsible for that one.
