START GETTING EXCITED FOR THAT NEW ALBUM FOLKS!

I am really hoping that the box set (surely vinyl?) won't be the only way to get the leitmotif and el cielo represses. Assuming that's what it's all about.

Also, I haven't posted in over 7 years. Hard to believe really.

I would love a Boxed Set that includes many of the unreleased recordings from Pariah especially. Time Will Tell, Wondrous Miracle, etc.

I think think both if not at least one of those recordings are in the pool of songs for the new record. I know they talked about doing b-side, unreleased recordings album of sorts around the time of the live record, (initially that was supposed to be a live cd/dvd combo) but both obviously never came to fruition. Redrawing the Island Map was definitely re-recorded during the el cielo sessions and I have often wondered what other recordings from those sessions and the cwa sessions they have tucked away. I'm sure they have a stockpile of stuff to pick from. I often speculated that they have a whole album's worth of material (at least in demo form) that they were sitting on before they actually actually recorded ppd. The number 17 or 18 sticks out as the number of songs they had in line prior to recording ppd.

If the boxset contains vinyl copies of all previous albums I might let go of my originals.

Most excited to get new material and a tour though!

Seven. One to change it, five to complain that the old one was better, and one talk about Gavins weight.

In that recent Gavin interview he said that they were talking to producers and that they were (yet again) recording to analog tape. Any speculation as to who may produce the record in light of that information?

            Here is my shortlist:

            Billy Anderson
            Hugo Nicolson
            Joe Baresi
            Kurt Ballou
            Machine
            Matt Bayles
            Matt Talbot
            Sanford Parker
            Sonny Diperri
            Will Yip

Who would you suggest beyond that or pick?

I've never had a problem with any of Dredg's productions so I'm sure whoever they get will be fine. It's just nice to get an update. Thanks APITD.

I don't know if he messes with analog, but David Bottrill seems to be involved in many bands' best sounding albums.

my anticipation level would go through the roof if David Botrill produced the new record.

I don't know if they have the money for that guy. Crowdfunding maybe?

you may be right at this stage.

I suspect Botrill's schedule and interest could play a part. But when it comes down to it, he would need to get paid.

I also would question if the dredg guys would be up for Crowd Funding in any way. Black Map haven't, have they?

My penis may go through the roof if David Botrill got on board.

I'm going to assume that was added by either Drew or Dino.
